Rogue River Holiday
Apologies for the long hiatus. We were away for a glorious week on the Wild and Scenic Rogue River in southern Oregon.
Here was the one Mama bear sighting I got where I had the camera in hand. So cool to have felt her and cub there before I actually saw them retreating from the river into the long grasses.
At first I thought Mama was a baby bear, but no. Definitely the salmon are not what they used to be here and its obvious from the size of the bears. The Rogue is one of those places in need of formalized protection- and it couldn't be more deserving of such protections. For more info. and what you can do, especially if you live in Oregon visit Save the Wild Rogue.
If you're interested in a fantastic spring, summer or fall adventure with gourmet food, wine and music, learn more at James Henry River Journeys- we had a fantastic time.
