Raspy-Voiced Mayors

What does it take these days to get elected- other than to have the most non-radio friendly voice ever? I wonder. Now that I've really heard both these guys several times in person and on radio- I wonder...are they just the same alien?
One wearing a GQ mask and the other gently aging and balding gracefully?

For some odd reason, prior to the age of 7, I was called "Mayor of the Munchkins." Maybe I better stop doing my Steve Tyler impressions...or I'll start to sound like these guys.
