Basic Social Responsibility

After a journey back to Massachusetts last month and with corporate social responsibility very much on the brain, I find Massachusetts businesses still have a lot to learn from California ways (there is some of the reverse too!).

A small business' most significant impact on the community in which it does business begins here- on the crapper. Many small operations in northern Mass. seem to have missed this fact, especially in particularly snobby and rude Manchester-by-the-Sea where food establishments didn't provide bathrooms for their customers.

If you can take my money for your grub, you also need to take the waste it generates- period. Reach out and touch someone Massachusetts!
